Use Market Research for Marketing Planning

PESTLE

Political Political is a word that is related to the
government, as they are the ones in control of
laws and regulations of most businesses. They
want to make sure that food ind ustries should
make more healthy meals. The government
could also charge sugar tax toward s consumers
this means that buying a small can d rink could
be a bit more expensive. This is simply used to
red uce the amount of obesity, as the
government wants to promote a more healthy
lifestyle for everyone. This can impact the
sand wich shop as they have to swap out any
sugary food s that have on the sid e such as
cookies and d onuts to more healthier food s like
fruits. This could have a negative impact to the
shop as some people includ ing child ren would
prefer more sugary food s.

Economic Economic is a factor that looks at both
nationally and internationally. This can be the
recession and infation. .f UK’s infation rates
increases. This means that prices of food would
increase d rastically, meaning that this would
impact consumers especially those who have a
low income, as their cost of living has increased .
This then could impact the sand wich shop as
most people who buys sand wiches might not
have the incentive to buy the sand wich for a
higher price, as 50% of the customers thought
that the sand wiches should be more fresh. This
means that the sand wich shop would lose out
with proft if prices rise and more people not
buying the sand wiches.

Social Social is based on the values of the society, this
can be assembled into d iferent groups such as
age, gend er, size, ed ucation and more, various
people have d iferent likings. This is useful as it
could provid e a business information about its
marketing targets and aud ience. The shop could
be impacted by this factor as some people
would want to have d iferent sand wiches. .f
some customers were vegan, then the shop has
to take time and money to make new fllings for
the sand wiches that suits them.
