Receiving screening is to fulfill four purposes - a. Identify and meet any urgent health needs of those being admitted B. Identify and meet any known or easily identifiable health needs that require medical intervention C. Identify and isolate inmates who appear potentially contagious D. Obtain medical clearance when necessary When receiving screening must be conducted - ASAP without unnecessary delay Initial health assessment must be conducted ASAP but no later than - 7 calendar days after admission
