The healthcare organization I have selected from the AHD is Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester,
Minnesota.
2.Explain why you chose the healthcare organization in part A1 and any significance the organization has to you, including specific examples.
Mayo Clinic is an internationally known medical center that provides quality medical care for patients from all over the world. It is known for its progressive treatment, and pioneering research. The organization is a perfect example of a hospital that provides exemplary, advanced,
and state-of-the-art patient care. In addition to the outstanding treatment and innovative advancements it focuses heavily on teaching our future health care professionals. On a personal level, the Mayo Clinic diagnosed and treated my mother-in-law for a rare brain disease in the 1980’s. I do not believe that she would have been diagnosed correctly or as quickly as she was if
she had not gone to the Mayo Clinic.
