, Introduction
▸ I am here today because the local leisure Centre would like to
start a new program that will help people to become fitter and
healthier by reducing their Body Mass Index (BMI).
▸ At the end of this process, I will have created a spreadsheet
model that can predict how a person’s BMI would change
throughout 10 weeks minimum, based on their activities and
diet. The model will calculate each week’s calorie intake, the
number of calories burned, the weight change, and their BMI.
▸ However, before developing the model, I will be talking about
features and uses of a spreadsheet within this PowerPoint.

, What is Spreadsheet
Software?
Spreadsheet software is a software
application capable of organising, storing
and analysing data in a table form. The
spreadsheet allows you to represent data
in tables, graphs and charts. You are then
able to manipulate the data using
formulas and formatting tools.

, What is Data /Spreadsheet
Modelling?
▸ Data modelling is the process of creating a data
model for the data to be stored in a database by
applying certain techniques.
▸ Data Modelling/Spreadsheet Modelling is used
to help consider alternative choices
