By educating individuals about the importance of sustainability, environmental justice, and the impacts of human activities on marginalized communities, environmental education can empower individuals to take action towards a more equitable and just society. Ecological Integrity: Environmental education emphasizes the preservation and restoration of ecological integrity. It encourages individuals to understand the interdependence of living organisms and their environment and to recognize their role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
