Ethical concerns of local communities
There are some ethical issues that local
communities have about Tesco. For example, local
communities have concern about Tesco, this can
include blockage of road in busy hours, and this is a
concern because it is blocking the roads of the local
residence. One way that Tesco has approached this
is by hiring security guards to provide safe road
safety to the local community. Another ethical
concerns that local communities face is noise
pollution, the stores that Tesco build are around the residential area which can affect the local
community because it affects their daily lives and also their health, it not only affects their health but
also their organised local events which can include sports events. The article above is from mail
online news and in the article one person states “'I and my neighbours have constantly complained
about the levels of noise, meaning our children have been unable to sleep at night as the noise has
gone on past 9.30pm.” This shows how much of a concern noise pollution is. One way that Tesco has
addressed these concerns is by only doing their constructions and during office hours so that it
would not affect the whole day of the local residents, this better and effective way of approaching
the issue because it avoids Tesco from losing customers. One way that Tesco could have also
approached this issue is by using machinery that are noise cancelling so that the local communities
would not have to go through noise pollution and disturbance, this is much more ethical because
cutting down on noise would lessen effect on health. The local government can also address the
concern by creating laws that Tesco would have to cooperate with; this could be laws on noise
pollution and cut down on the hours they can carry out their construction work which one of the key
factor to noise pollution.
Ethical concerns of national communities
One ethical concern of the
national communities about
Tesco is pay. For example,
one concern that the national
community have is Tesco and
their taxes. The national
community can be effected if
Tesco don’t pay their taxes on
time, however Tesco has
solved this issue by paying their taxes accurately and lawfully , Tesco has also hired officials to make
sure everything is accurate and lawful. Moreover , Tesco is an international business and it is a big
