Why does salt determine blood pressure?
Blood pressure = cardiac output x
peripheral resistance.

Cardiac output is determined by heart
rate and circulating volume. Circulating
volume is determined by Na+ uptake,
because waters passively follows Na +.
defects in Na+ regulation therefore
result in a disturbed blood pressure.
