Voorwoord
Voor u ligt het beroepsproduct van Sharmaine Berghorst, psychiatrisch verpleegkundige, werkzaam in de
geestelijke gezondheidszorg. Ik ben 28 jaar oud en werkzaam in de Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg (GGZ).
Dit beroepsproduct is tot stand gekomen naar aanleiding van de module ´OHBVO13 Adviseren over de
toepasbaarheid en veiligheid van technologie in de zorg´ en bevat een advies voor de organisatie over het
veilig gebruik maken van medische technologie.
In 2016 heb ik mijn diploma behaald als mbo-verpleegkundige en heb ik twee jaar in de thuiszorg gewerkt
als beginnend beroepsbeoefenaar. Halverwege 2018 ben ik aangenomen voor de functie psychiatrisch
verpleegkundige in de GGZ, waar ik in 2021 ben aangenomen voor de opleiding hbo-verpleegkundige.
Vanaf september 2022 ben ik werkzaam voor het team Transculturele Psychiatrie waar het team zorg
biedt aan vluchtelingen en asielzoekers op de intensief begeleide opvang (IBO) op het
asielzoekerscentrum, waar medewerkers van het Centraal Orgaan opvang Asielzoekers (COA) de
doelgroep 24/7 begeleid (COA, 2020). Het team Transculturele Psychiatrie biedt intensieve psychiatrische
diagnostiek en behandeling aan de doelgroep waarbij het vermoeden van psychiatrische problematiek
mogelijk is (Dimence, z.d.).
Graag wil ik mijn collega’s uit het team Transculturele Psychiatrie bedanken voor de input. Daarnaast wil
ik de docent bedanken voor het geven van de lessen, die ik als erg leerzaam heb ervaren.
