M1- Explain the points of view of different stakeholders seeking to influence the aims and
objectives of 2 contrasting organisations.
Many businesses have different aims and different objectives prior to what area they are
based on, and the size of the company. An aim or objective is a statement of what a business
is trying to achieve over the next 12 months. Some of these targets that they are possibly
trying to achieve are: Survival, increasing of profits, growth in the business, and also
increasing of market share etc. The SMART objective will suit business to follow out.
Many non-profitable organisations such as charities have different aims and objectives; this
is prior to what area and field they study/work on. This could be for example, Macmillan
charity which work to cure and help cancer patient. Also Water aid, which provide water to
people overseas which are in poverty and don’t have clean enough water to survive on.
There’s the British heart foundation, this charity is where the organisation helps support
their patients by trying to find them a transplant of a health heart. These charities aims are
to help all the people in need.
The 2 contrasting organisations I will be looking at is Tesco (profitable business), and the
Macmillan cancer research trust (non-profitable organisation), and I will be talking about
the main stake holders of the business.
The thing that satisfies and makes Tesco’s stakeholders unhappy is:
Aims and objectives: The corporate objectives of Tesco are to provide customers with great
value at competitive prices, communicate with and meet the needs of its customers,
develop its employees' talents and reward them fairly, work with suppliers to keep quality
high and prices low, be involved in the national discussion regarding food safety and
production issues, support the communities in which it participates, and make a profit. Tesco
aspires to be a global company with positive local impact, trusted by all with whom it deals

Employees: Employees will be interested in a job to help the business grow and make money
than other businesses. This is because, the better the business does possibly could lead to a
better wages/pay rises/bonuses or even maybe more holidays. However, if the business does
badly and less sales this could lead to, lower wages or even closing down employees (un-
employing them). Therefore, they will earn no money and will lead them looking for another
job to get employed at. The influence they have in a business is, with 476,000 colleagues,
which serve millions of customers a week in stores and online. The employee’s duty/aim is
to support the customers and satisfy their needs. If they didn’t satisfy their customers then,
Tesco wouldn’t have been one of the largest retailer in the world, this as none of the
