What are the three air force leadership levels? 1. Tactical 2. Operational 3. Strategic Vision What is the Air Force brown book AFH36-2618 Technical sergeants are often the organizations _____________ experts technical What are a few responsibilities of an NCO? -lead and develop subordinates -mentor junior enlisted airmen -develop innovative ways to improve processes -champion social, physical, mental, and spiritual readiness what are the domains of the Comprehensive Airman Fitness? Social Physical Mental Spiritual How have you displayed effective followership? I've had the privilege to work through several leadership changes and I've adapted to each leadership style with respect. I've learned to own, promote, and explain the decisions of our leaders to junior enlisted airmen. How have you been an active leader? I've supervised Airman Marshall and trained several financial management technicians. I have maintained professional relationships on and off duty, and check in on them often whether they are still here or not. I have always tried to leave things better than how I found it--and I make sure to pass any info along that I learn to those around me. I am an in the practice of training others and effective communication to lead with knowledge and humility. Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself with a masters degree and hopefully master sergeant. I could see myself being a great first sergeant one day as someone that airmen can feel comfortable coming to and learning from. I know that you never stop learning and it is exciting to think of wealth of knowledge I can accumulate in the next five years. What are your strengths? I am very proud of my drive. No one will work harder than me, and if they are- I have the humility to own my situation and give myself a wake up call. I'm constantly challenging myself and I enjoy that. At the same time, I am very proud of my team oriented mindset. I always leave things better than the way I found it for the benefit of the team. I believe I've done that here and also in my civilian job- I walked in with zero continuity or training, and now I'm managing a multi million dollar budget on my own. My constant desire is to build a strong team of hard workers and I credit that mentality to the air force and my parents for teaching me this. Talk about PME I've had the opportunity to go to ALS in residence and that forever left a mark on me. I learned different leadership styles and that not all people learn the same and I implemented this knowledge in my career when leading/following. I hope to go to all PME in residence because I feel like it is important and I don't truly consider the distance learning at the same level. What are ethics and values? Ethics are standards of conduct based on values. Values are core beliefs, such as duty, honor, and integrity, that motivate attitudes and actions. (REF: Ch. 6: Sect 6D, 6.18) The Air Force symbol has two main parts-an upper half and lower half. Describe them and what they represent. a. In the upper half, the stylized wings represent the stripes of our strength—the enlisted men and women of our force. They are drawn with great angularity to emphasize our swiftness and power and are divided into six sections which represent our distinctive capabilities--air and space superiority, global attack, rapid global mobility, precision engagement, information superiority, and agile combat support. b. In the lower half are a sphere, a star, and three diamonds. The sphere within the star represents the globe. Moreover, it reminds us of our obligation to secure our Nation's freedom with global vigilance, reach, and power. The globe also reminds us of our challenge as an expeditionary force to respond rapidly to crises and to provide decisive air and space power worldwide. c. The area surrounding the sphere takes the shape of a star. The star has many meanings. The five points represent the components of our one force and family—our active duty, civilians, Guard, Reserve, and retirees. The star symbolizes space as the high ground of our nation's air and space force. The rallying symbol in all our wars, the star also represents our officer corps, central to our combat leadership. What do the 3 diamonds represent in the official Air Force symbol? d. The star is framed with three diamonds that represent our core values—integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The elements come together to form one symbol that presents two powerful images—at once an eagle, the emblem of our Nation; and a medal, representing valor in service to our Nation. What are the Air Force Core Values? Integrity First, Service Before Self, Excellence in All We Do What do the core values mean to you? a. integrity first: always doing what's right, even when no one is looking. This is at the very core of my being. growing up john wayne, obi wan, and andy griffith were my role idols- I've always been drawn to that type of an honest leader. not the typical bunch for a little girl but I thank my parents for teaching me about integrity young. b. service before self: going the extra mile for the betterment of the mission. I have been known to stay late when needed and I think this also applies to being a good wingman--like staying late after work to help an airman jumpstart their car. c. excellence in all we do: doing the very best you can in everything you do. we don't simply put on the uniform, we are contributing to the security of our nation so we must attain excellence at all times. I think of my time in honor guard with this value.. we had to perform excellence when rendering a very solemn funeral honor to a family that just lost a vet. excellence should also have heart to it, and I think I have that. What are the five USAF MAJCOMS and which do we fall under? 1. Air Combat Command 2. Air Education and Training Command 3. Air Force Global Strike Command 4. Air Force Space Command 5. Air Force Reserve Command (Robins AFB) We fall under ACC. The National Guard Bureau is not our MAJCOM, but we also fall under them and they resemble our MAJCOM. What is the dress and appearance AFI?
