Human pathology Deals with four aspects of disease • Etiology: Disease causes • Pathogenesis: Disease development processes • Morphologic changes: the structural alteration induced in the cells and organshealing, complications, death • Clinical significance: the functional consequences of the morphologic changes. Branches of pathology • General pathology –cell injury –tissue repair –hemodynamic disorders –inflammation –tumor • Systemic pathology • Blood vessels & heart • Respiratory, digestive, urinary systems, nervous & Endocrine systems • Male and female genital system
