CERUMEN
Cerumen (wax) is the most common cause an impacted canal. Usually accumulates overtime in various amounts and color and impact the canal. Common in geriatric patients. It can also become impacted as a result of foreign bodies that can enter or be placed in the external ear canal, such as vegetables (peas, beans), beads, pebbles, toys, pencil erasers and insects.
