Unit 2 – P6 - Outline the importance of the European legislative process and its
institutions. [RL] (Mini-plan)
Introduction
This assignment focuses on the European institutions as well as the European laws and fully
illustrates how they are established. More importantly, each institution and European law is
analysed in terms of their significance. The European law is the set of law and agreements
between 28 countries across the EU. These laws endeavour to offer a sustainable relationship
between those countries. The EU institutions including: European Union, European Council,
European Commission, European Parliament and European Court of Justice are demonstrated
with relevant examples and thorough explanations. Moreover, the European law including
treaties, regulations and directives are also explained with relevant examples. The fundamental
distinctions and similarities between the European laws have also been analysed. I have also
considered what would happen if there is a conflict between European law and UK law.
Data statistics of the UK’S exports and imports
The statistics clearly illustrates that particularly the exporting goods to the EU countries had
been crucial for Britain as a mean of increasing income and developing its economic and
business atmosphere.
