1.1. The CEO of Parmalat needs to hear or get your opinion on whether the type of
fraud committed on the farm trust was possible with their company given the
way they manage the company’s finances. (Justify your answer/opinion.
In my opinion, the type of fraud committed on the farm trust is possible with any company,
including Parmalat, if there are not adequate controls and checks in place to prevent and
detect fraudulent activities.
It is important for Parmalat to have strong internal controls, such as segregation of duties,
regular audits, and monitoring of transactions to prevent and detect fraudulent activities.
