I am going to develop a coherent marketing mix that will be targeted at a defined
group of potential customers. The main customers and target audience for McBacon
fillet burger would be young children, teenagers, adults, business people and parents
who have children. McDonalds products mostly appeal to everyone as the products
are different and have a variety of products to choose from. Young children will be
attracted to this new product as it is unique and a development of the big mac which
is a popular burger in McDonald's menu.

This would target parents as well as young children as parents make the final
decision with themselves and their children and this also why McDonald's targets
children with parents mostly. Teenagers are also the target audience for McBacon
fillet burger as teenagers go out a lot with their friends and they like stopping at
restaurants to eat with their friends as long as they find the menu and products
attracting. Adults are another target audience for this new product because when
they have finished shopping, they always like to go in a restaurant for a bite to eat
with their friends/family.

Adults like to treat themselves as well and they like visiting fun food places to eat
and relax. They mostly chose McDonalds because it has fast food service and
savers meals and meal deals with great prices. Business people are always in a rush
as they need to get back to work, however they like to have something delicious and
filling to last them the rest of the day at work. Therefore the McBacon fillet burger is
just the one for business people and realistically for every individual as it is
affordable and delicious.


Marketing Mix

The McBacon fillet burger is priced cheap at £3.00 for just the burger alone or £4.50
for the meal deal. This is priced similar to mostly every product sold at McDonalds so
it doesn't have the customers conscious about the product price because if that
happens then customers will more likely not purchase the product which will reduce
sales of this product and attract less customers. The McBacon fillet burger will attract
young children as it is a similar price to the child meals.

It will attract teenagers as it is a delicious product priced cheap to match their income
as they don't earn much because of the minimum wage. It will attract adults and
adults with children as they always look for the best prices and saver meals.
Business people always look for the quality of food and don't mind of the price of the
product as long as the quality is good therefore the McBacon fillet burger will appeal
to business people. Out of all the elements of the marketing mix used, the most
important ones in my opinion would be the promotion and price.

The reason promotion would be one of the main important element of the marketing
mix is because if nobody from my target audience knew about the product then there
