Delen van de medial frontal lobe zijn dus betrokken bij motorische controle. Vooral de PMC. Op de foto is central
suclus (cs) aangegeven. Het lichtblauwe is het mediale deel van Brodmann area 6 (PMC). Op de foto zijn allemaal
activatieclusters van 12 proefpersonen terwijl ze bewegingen uitvoeren (hand, voet, mond, oogbewegingen).
Area 6 = SMA (lichtblauwe deel)
Middenste steel van de hersenen hebben ook te maken met het aansturen van het het middenste deel van je
lichaam (borstkas,…)
Dit is in de cingulate cortex en SMA/SEF. Cgs = cingulate sulcus, pacs = paracentral sulcus, prpacs = pre-paracentral
sulcus, vpcgs = vertical paracingulate sulcus, cs = central sulcus, meps = medial paracentral sulcus.
Dit is het resultaat van een studie (Amodio)
waarbij dit gebied belangrijk is voor doelgerichte
acties.
MPFC is dus betrokken bij action monitoring, self-
knowledge, person perception, mentalizing,
outcome monitoring.
MCC (medial cingulate cortex): heeft te maken
met outcome monitoring.

correcte en incorrecte reactie op een
cognitieve taak bij patiënten met OCD en
gezonde proefpersonen.
De fouten zijn bij OCD hoger (rode lijn).
