Learning Aim C Unit 13 – Software Testing
Assignment 3
Unit 13: Assignment – Review and present the
results from software tests to meet a client’s
needs and suggest improvements
In this assignment, the software application that I previously conducted several
testing types on meets the client’s needs. Within this assignment I will display
further evidence such as graphical and written to show that testing was carried
out and performed in a linear sequential manner while making improvements to
meet client’s needs

Graphical and Written Method
After conducting waterfall methodology and several others, such as product and
regressing testing as well, I found that even though the pizza ordering
application was efficient and highly operational, it did not entirely meet the
client’s needs. Out of the 7 tests I done, only one of them failed which was user
authentication. This testing was conducted to see if a user could continue to the
menu page using their account. However, testing showed that the log in was not
working despite the correct credentials being entered. This is a major issue as
customers would have to create a new account every time, they returned to the
restaurant which would be an inconvenience and possibly decrease user
satisfaction. After though analysis done on the testing phase, I have now created
both graphical and written evidence of the tests that passed and improvement to
the failed testing stated before.
1. Examine Menu Display –
Passed
Here I have provided written
evidence of how the testing was
conducted. The very first step
was to load up the software
application and see if it was
responding to user interactions, such as producing sound and buttons was
working. After completing login, I was greeted with the menu page. I had to see if
I could navigate properly without any issues arising as well as being able to make
selections. I then repeated the testing a total of 5 times with all testing being a
success.
Graphical Evidence
1. When loading the software application, I was greeted with the star page. Upon
clicking the “Start” button I was directed the “Registration Page”

2. I then had to enter in my credentials which however took a few attempts.
Once I successfully logged in, the “Menu Page” was next.

3. When on the “Menu Page” I
selected various buttons to see that it was working and responding to my
request.

4. I repeated this process several more times to ensure that it would always
output the expected results
2. Order Placement – Passed
The figure on the right displays the
steps I took to make an order on the
software application. Loading up the
software as well as sign in was
mandatory to navigate to the menu
page. Once the payment method was
selected and confirmed, I received
order confirmation via email notifying
me that my order is complete.
