(bruinzwart, bij donker gekleurde rassen)
en in → feomelanine
(geelrood, meer bij roodharigen en blanken)
o Basaalcellaag,
o 1 melanocyt verzorgt 36 keratinocyten.

Te veel
Benigne (goedaarding): naevus.
Maligne (kwaadaardig) : melanoom.
