A)Online learning is flexible education via the internet and tech. Students can study anytime, anywhere.
Advantages of online learning include flexibility, convenience, etc., allowing me to balance work, family,
and studies. myUNISA gives access to e-resources and allows interaction with diverse students,
broadening knowledge and perspective.
E-learning, also referred to as online learning or electronic learning, is the acquisition of
knowledge that takes place through electronic technologies and media. conducted on the
Internet, where students can access their learning materials online at any place and time.

Online learning offers teachers an efficient way to deliver lessons to students. Online learning has
several tools such as videos, PDFs, podcasts, and teachers can use all these tools as part of their lesson
plans. Another advantage of online education is that it allows students to attend classes from any
location of their choice. It also allows schools to reach out to a more extensive network of students,
instead of being restricted by geographical boundaries. Additionally, online lectures can be recorded,
archived, and shared for future reference.
Disadvantages of online learning
One of the largest difficulties of online learning for many students is their inability to maintain their
attention for extended periods of time. Additionally, there is a higher likelihood that online learning will
cause pupils to get easily sidetracked by social media or other websites. Internet connectivity is another
significant issue for online learning. Although the number of people using the internet has increased
dramatically over the past few years, it can be difficult to get a reliable connection with adequate speed
in smaller cities and towns
, B)What is the Collaborative learning? Collaborative learning in EDS3701 promotes knowledge
construction and critical thinking. Students work together towards a common goal. The module employs
collaborative methods like group tasks, virtual talks, and peer evaluation.
Collaborative learning allows professionals to complete projects and learn new concepts while
also developing social, teamwork and communication skills. Collaborative learning requires
students to interact as a team using eye contact, verbal communication, and social cues. often
brings together people of various backgrounds, beliefs, education levels and ages. Collaborative
learning groups work together to reach their goal, relying on each other for success. Thus, they
need to learn to trust each other. Students who build trust in collaborative teams can form a
more cohesive classroom bond knowing they support each other's learning. When working as a
group, team members help support each other as they move toward a common goal.
Collaborative learning can benefit individuals who are introverted because a supportive group
atmosphere can help them build confidence.
C) EDS3701 students may hesitate to participate in online discussions due to lack of confidence in
expressing their opinions publicly. Secondly, limited internet access may hinder students' online class
participation.
1. Lack of technological knowledge: Students could feel intimidated or uneasy using the technology
necessary to take part in online forums or e- tutor programs.
2. Lack of engagement: If students feel that the discussions are too basicor not intellectually stimulating,
they may not want to participate.
3. Fear of being judged: Students may be afraid that their opinions or contributions will be judged by
others, leading them to feel self-conscious about participating in the discussions.
4. Time constraints: Many students have busy schedules and may not have enough time to participate in
online discussions or e-tutor classes.
