Summary Augustine Lateran

Augustine Lateran was a renowned rhetorician and a Christian clergyman who continuously argued for development of ideas that originated during the classical period (354CE-430CE). The artist of the sculpture of Augustine Lateran which is still existing to date is unknown. It is situated in Rome (Lousberg, Pg. 50). I viewed this sculpture on the internet on the march, 20th 2020. It is a saint’s Augustine Lateran sculpture done by an unknown artist. The facial appearance show it is Augustine Lateran. The figure is vertical as shown by its upward position and shape. The wonderful picture shows the decorated paintings done on the figure. It has been painted with a combination of different beautiful colors. A combination of white and light-yellow color is used to make the art. This portrait was purposely made in commemoration of saint Augustine’s continued move for telling the truth through teaching the word of God.
