We'll be using PyCharm as our code edito r
in this tutor ial. When you open PyCharm
for the first time, you have to confi gure a
few settin gs, but we can skip that for now
and set defa ults. Let's create a new
proje ct and colla pse the proje ct wind ow to
give more space. We can then print a
mess age on our appli catio n window.
Running Python Code
To run Python code in PyCharm, we go to
the run menu and selec t run, or use the
shor tcut (ctrl+ shift +r on a Mac) . Then
selec t the app to run, and the outp ut will
appe ar in the term inal window. Python is
case sens itive so make sure to use the
corre ct case when codin g . We can declare
variables, such as age and price, and
assig n them values. Python also has
boolean values that can be true or false.
