EDUC-1300-029 Leadership Style Group Discussion 4 The Bureaucratic Model First, the main points that I identified from the article relating to The Bureaucratic Style of Leadership are, that they are buy the book, following the rules, well versed on policy and procedure. They rarely deviate from the norm in fear of creating risk which may lead to failure. If they follow the rules, then the rules will protect them from any trouble. This reminds me of a soldier stating that he was merely following orders, however they would not agree that merely following orders may get them in trouble. Just ask Col.Oliver North. It may be in tried and true situations where mistakes could cost lives or billions of dollars that this may be the appropriate style of leadership. You don’t want the post office giving your mail to the wrong person and we do not need the DMV issuing driver licenses to people who can’t drive. However, it is also true that this leadership style results in a tendency to do nothing, crippling innovation, creativity, and gro
