Problem :
The girl had unprotected sex and she is afraid that she will get pregnant.
Being so young can lead to childbirth complications and the child and mother can die.
You lose focus on your education
You lose time at school because of medical check-ups
Being pregnant is very expensive – the medicine, check-ups ect.
Advice:
Seek confidential pregnancy care.
Begin taking prenatal vitamins.
Start healthy habits—and get rid of bad habits.
Attend all your doctors' appointments.
Take healthy teen pregnancy classes.
Eat at least 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks every day. Eat fresh, whole
foods, including:
Drink plenty of fluids.
Choose foods that have important vitamins for your baby, such as calcium,
iron, and folate.
Choose fish that are lower in mercury.
Avoid foods that could harm your baby.
Letter 2
Problem:
The student had sex but he wants to know where he can get tested for HIV and
where to get helped if he is infected.
You can get an HIV test at many places:
Your health care provider's office.
Health clinics or community health centers.
STD or sexual health clinics.
Your local health department.
Family planning clinics.
VA medical centers.
Substance abuse prevention or treatment programs.
Pharmacies.
