reliance on using technology

Resulting in the growth of technology production, use and malicious
offences

This evolution means that experts are chasing cyber criminals at an
increased rate and different strategies are required involving a range of
agencies
The UK response:
The National cyber security strategy:
protection of information systems, the data on them and the services
they provide from unathorised harm and misuse

In 2017 → GCHQ launched The National cyber security centre
Roles:
1. Share information/knowledge
2. Address systematic
vulnerabilities
3. Provide leadership on key
national issues
By establishing the NCSC it:
• Simplified government operational structures.
• Transformed the UK's ability to respond to National level
cyber incidents
• Initiated providing new digital services to allow
organisations and individuals to be safer online.
