ENG 226
Based on what you read in the text, in the overview, and what you watched, discuss the importance of oral language development. The importance of oral language in the classroom is so important. The way we articulate words and even hear them being pronounced back, the way we move our mouth and the children see that is also important. Oral language lays the foundation for the reading and writing skills of scholars. Having that strong foundation will develop as they enter and progress through school and it depends on their academic success. Having a solid foundation in oral language will help them become successful readers and strong communicators. How would the Turn and Talk strategy help young children develop oral language competence as they participate in literacy activities? This would be a great asset watching the video it teaches patience and children taking turns. Also, according to the text after a reading discussion or question, students learn from grand conversations. It helps the audio skills and vocabulary knowledge they need to be successful
