Onderverdeling van het ZS (A)
Het ZS wordt onderverdeeld in 3 delen:
 Centraal ZS
o = CNS
o Bestaat uit:
 Hersenen + 2e craniale zenuw & retina
 Ruggenmerg
o Eigenschappen:
 Myelinisatie door oligodendrocyten
 Geen herstel van axonen
 Perifeer ZS
o = PNS
o Bestaat uit:
 Perifere ganglia (met cellichamen)
 Sensorische receptoren
 Perifere delen van de spinale & craniale zenuwen (behalve 2e craniale zenuw),
zowel afferent als efferent
o Eigenschappen:
 Myelinisatie door Schwann cellen
 Wel herstel van axonen
 Autonoom ZS
o = ANS
o Bestaat uit:
 OS
 PS
 Enterisch
o Eigenschappen:
 Is een functioneel verschillend systeem
 Bevat eigenlijk delen van zowel centraal als perifeer ZS, deze controleren de autonome functies

Functioneel maken we onderscheid tussen 2 neuronen:
 Afferente neuronen
o = sensorisch
o Brengen signaal naar centraal ZS
 Efferente neuronen
o = motorisch
o Brengen signaal weg van centraal ZS

, Basis classificatie van neuronen (B)
Voor de classificatie gebruiken we 3 parameters:
 Aantal processen
o Unipolair -> 1 proces: signaal wordt doorgegeven & niet verwerkt (vb. pijn detectie)
o Bipolair -> 2 processen: ook beperkte verwerking van het signaal (in cellichaam)
o Multipolair -> veel processen: vele inputs die verwerkt worden
 Afstand axonale projectie (= hoe ver rijkt het axon)
o Principal neuron -> overbrugt verschillende regio’s (vb. teen tot aan hersenen)
o Interneuron -> blijft in zelfde regio, lokaal (vb. ogen)
 Patroon dendritische boom
o Piramidale vorm -> wel duidelijk onderscheid tussen dendrieten & axon
o Radiale vorm -> geen duidelijk onderscheid tussen dendrieten & axon
