enable you to make a plan. Once this is completed you will then go on to present your plan

Requirements:


 Assess the psychological skills of your sports performer, including:
o An introduction to the client
o Psychological strengths and weakness
o The psychological demands of the sport
o A completed psychological performance profile
 Plan, explain and justify your clients six-week psychological skills training
programme including:
o Aims and objectives of the programme
o An overview of each week
o One week covered daily
o Use of motivation – goal setting
o Arousal control – breathing control
o Imagery – mental rehearsal
o Confidence building – self talk

Outcomes of The Programme
Aim:

The aim of the programme is to ensure the athlete is psychological stable and ready to compete in
order to get the best out of their performance.

Objectives:

1) To carry out a six week psychological skills programme

2) Practice sport using various psychological methods

3) Re evaluate psychological state with questionnaires

Targets:

The athlete needs to improve his motivation in the six weeks by performing well in the
questionnaires at the end of the programme.

The athlete needs to decrease his anxiety levels after the six week programme by re evaluating his
psychological state.
