summarising your literature review to produce an introduction to your report in the third person and using scientific terminology. I did the three sets of results and I rounded it up to a second decimal number and did a standard deviation. Then I analyzed the results and I did a conclusion. Then I compared the conclusion with two valid and cited and relevant sources. Furthermore, this i did an evaluation of my assignment and critically evaluate the skills which you have developed. In addition to this i did a validity of the results and the accuracy of the results and if the hypothesis was met. Lastly i wrote about the limitation of which i faced when i was doing the experiment.

Summarise your literature review to produce an introduction to your report in third person
and using suitable scientific terminology.

The person who is doing the experiment is trying to find out how the hydrogen peroxide
concentration influences the volume of oxygen produced by a potato. An enzyme that is
given off during this experiment called catalyse and its jobs is to convert hydrogen peroxide
to water and oxygen. The person who is doing the experiment will see oxygen bubbles
which is given off. The potato which wants to break down the hydrogen peroxide is broken
down by the enzyme called catalyse which is why it is also very important for the potato and
the other reason why it is important is that it is used as a biological catalyst.

Method

Apparatus which is needed
Boiling tube

Test tube

250ml beaker

Delivery tube

Stopwatch

Rubber bungs

Spatula

Hydrogen peroxide 3 percent

Buffer solution ph. 6.2

Distilled water

Weighing scale
Potato (prepare by technicians approximately 2.2cm3)

Plastic weigh boat

Weighing

Experiment

, 1.) 1 gram of potatoes is measured using a spatula and weighing boat using a weighing
scale and then it is transferred to the boiling tube.

2.) 250ml Water is added to separate test tube. Then you put this test tube with the
water which you added into a beaker of water.

3.) One end of the delivery tube is placed into the test tube with the other end attached
to the bung of the boiling tube.

4.) Measure out 5cm3 hydrogen peroxide solution and this you add it into the boiling
tube where there is the 1 gram of potato.

5.) Once the hydrogen peroxide is added to the boiling tube after it the rubber bung is
attached to the delivery tube and stopwatch is started immediately after this.

6.) The volume of gas which is released is used to measure 45 seconds for every 5
minutes.

7.) The experiment is repeated three time using 3 times

RESULTS-

First set of results

Amount of grams time Volume of gas
2 grams 2 mins 15 bubbles
4 grams 2 mins 27 bubbles
6 grams 2 mins 48 bubbles
8 grams 2 mins 61 bubbles

Second set of results

Number of grams Time Volume of gas
2 grams 2 mins 16 bubbles
4 grams 2 mins 31 bubbles
6 grams 2 mins 48 bubbles
8 grams 2 mins 61 bubbles

Third set of results

Number of grams Time Volume of gas
2 grams 2 mins 12 bubbles
4 grams 2 mins 32 bubbles
