What is the recruitment process?

Recruitment is the process by which a business looks to hire the right person for
a job. The firm writes a job description and person specification for the post and
then advertises the job in a right place.

 First the company’s store manager or department manager would have to
check if they need someone and if they don’t it best to save the money
 The Store manager/ department manager will then have to write up
everything they need for the advertisement, key part for the advert would
be the job description because it tells the future employee what they
would be doing, if the store manager makes an error in job description, or
if he instruct him/her to do something that is not on job description, the
employee will get annoyed and leave then all of it would be a waste of
time, resources and money.
 When the store manager is finished with the job description, the H&R
department store manager/ department manager would then evaluate the
Job description, if they was any error in the job description or anything was
lost then it would get re-written, this time it may be the store
manager/department manager and the employee that is doing the job
now. It would be great if the employee write up the job description
because they have experience and they can list out the entire task they do
in the job.
 Then, when the employee is done with the job description the store
manager and the H&R department would evaluate it again and they will
then add up anything that is needed or even take anything that is not
need.
 The advert would be sent off to Job search website so they can adverts
the job for them, for example Job centre, jobs site, and indeed but TESCO
has they own website that adverts the jobs. http://jobsearch.tesco-
careers.com/
 A) The candidates would send in their CV or their application, the H&R
department would receive the CV’s or the application form and they would
check every CV’s and application and they would shortlist the best
possible candidate.
 B) Interview data’s and time would be sending out to the successful
candidate. The department manager would carry out the interviews and if
needed, the department manager would shortlist again.
 C) Whoever was successful in the interview would back, and report to the
department manager and they would be given task to carry out within the
store and department manager would evaluate them.
 The department manager would employ anyone he/she thinks is the right
person for the job.

 During the whole recruitment process, there shouldn’t be discrimination,
no favouritism or stereotyping just because they know someone who
works there.

Advantages of recruitments

One of the advantages for recruitments is, new employee could provide
outstanding customer service because they might have experience with how to
communicate with customers very well, this will then start to bring in more
customers in and as a result lead to more profit being brought into the company
as a result of excellent customer service that been provided. The new employee
would want to give a good impression to the manager and by doing this the new
employee will try the hardest to fill their head with ideas on how to make more
sales. Also new recruitments is worthy because they will try their hardest by
working really hard to try and keep the job and impress the manager and to
make the manager think that he or she made the right choice about hiring them
for the job

Disadvantage of recruitments

One of the disadvantages is that during the recruitment process, they might
prefer to hire someone they know, which is not acceptable on the other people
who might have the experience. If the business is at its peak they would prefer to
employ someone with amazing qualifications to help the business get better,
however some people may have good qualifications. For example good grades
and the other does person does not have good grades but has experience they
would take with experience because they will not have to train the person
because they already know what to do.

What do they do with the job description?

A job description explains the work you’ve done and it usually set out the job
title, location of work and main tasks of the employee. They then they send it off
to their IT department and the put up on their website.

Who writes it?

A job description is a written document that reviews the major responsibilities
and tasks of the position; the qualifications include education, experience,
knowledge, skills, etc. A job there can be written by countless people such as the
area manager, the department manager, or even an employee who’s has been
currently working there for a while and has experience. In my opinion it best for
an employee write up the job description because they are have experience in
the job and also they can list out all the task they do in the job.

Why might they change or review the job description?

H&R department review the document because they could be mistakes in the
advert which needs to be change and they may change a few things that please
