, In this documentation, I will be talking about the four diverse types of methodologies.
Along with the 4 methodologies (being RAD, Waterfall, Agile and PRINCE2), I will be
going over the many advantages and disadvantages of every single one of them. To
further show my understanding of the four methodologies, I have researched 3 different
projects and through thorough investigation decided on which type of the 4
methodologies that the project managers could have potentially taken. Also, considering
what could happen if a different methodology were taken and used for the projects.

Rapid Application Development (RAD)
Who invented the methodology?
The term Rapid Application Development (RAD) was first founded by James Martin.
James Martin first developed the development approach in the 1980s. Came into
existence after developers realized that the traditional waterfall model was not
remarkably effective. Rapid application development was a reaction to plan-driven
waterfall techniques like the Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method, which
were created in the 1970s and 1980s (SSADM). One of the issues with these systems
+is that they were developed using a standard engineering model for designing and
constructing bridges and buildings. Software is different from other types of artefacts.
Software has the potential to transform the entire problem-solving process. As a result,
knowledge obtained during the development process can be fed back into the solution's
requirements and design.
