General Assembly:
- All 193 members apart of this for universal representation. This body discusses
issues of peace and security

Security council:
- 15 members = 5 permanent  China, France, Russia, USA, UK can all veto
- Solves threats to peace via votes from each member
- Can impose economic sanctions to resolve issues

INTL Court of Justice:
- Settles INTL legal disputes + law breaks to maintain peace offer legal advice
UNESCO:
- Maintain peace by maintaining freedom of expression within education, science
+ culture
WHO:
- eradication of small pocks 1977 + near eradication of Polio
- EVAL  criticised for delayed response to COVID 19 + Aids

World Food Programme:
- Materialised fairer trade agreements between LIC’s + HIC’s
- EVAL  still famine in some LIC’s despite having enough food. Results from
unequal distribution of G+S from HIC’s to LIC’s D/T capitalism + globalisation
ECOSOC:
- Regulate TNC’s  reduce ability to exploit workers whilst maintaining the
country’s high employment to promote high S.O.L.

Promotes Growth + Stability:
- Sanctions to those breaking law + therefore circumnavigate injustices.
o E.G  Iran had toughest sanctions imposed against them to deter their
use of illegal nuclear enrichment and reprocessing thus maintain peace

- Creates policies like Declaration of Human Rights (1948) – 30 rights + freedoms
to protect social rights for all. The INTL court of justice also protects rights by
punishing those who commit crimes against humanity

- MDG 2000 including universal primary school, reduce mortality rates, reduce
poverty  SDG 2015

- Environmental sustainability assured  IPCC branch of UN + 2015 Paris Accord
has over 200 members ratified  control climate change
