I would want to use therapeutic communication and encourage them to being open and sharing their feelings. This would help establish a repour in which one may help them. For Safety one should assess for suicidal idealizations and have a plan of action in place. For nutritional concerns, provide and encourage a balanced diet and enough fluids.
