Speech writing
Speech is more personal than writing. The major steps in the preparation of
a speech are as under:
(1) Know your audience, mainly, the target group.
(2) Assess the situation.
(3) Understand the purpose.
(4) Choose appropriate words for the speech.
(5) Give personal touch.
(6) Follow the sequence
(7) Add rhetorical or impressive questions.
(8) Enhance the speech by using discourse markers and linkers.
