Bullying in School
I remember one Friday afternoon when I met john when I was hovering around the
school ground watching the freshly blossoming flowers. John was a cool boy when I first met
him during interschool volleyball competition but hot tempered when one crossed his ways.
Befriending john was a bold step that I made in search of a friend whom I could share my
problems and secrets with in midst of the bullying classmates. I felt john could console and
comfort me whenever I felt down or bullied by my classmates. John was quite a bright boy
though his laziness could not allow him to perform better as he did not like the assignment idea.
John was a constant latecomer and missed most the morning classes because of the traffics
problem as he used to reside 20 kilometers away from the school. Despite the flaws, I loved john
because he was always there when I needed him, he was my guardian angel.
Saturday was a day when my parents used to take me and my other two siblings for
dinner in one of the beach hotel in the town. As we were driving from the park, I saw john
surrounded by a group of white boys from a distant who seemed to harass him from the way they
were throwing hands in the air and pushing him to the ground. I really felt sorry for him and
requested my dad to stop the car to rescue my friend. I ran to the area of the scene where I found
john lying on the ground full of bruises and bleeding heavily and begging the cruel boys to stop
hurting him. I was so furious and shouted out for one boy and before I turned to face him, one of
the boys hit me hard with a brut object which left me unconscious before they escaped. The last
thing I remembered was I calling out for dad for help where he rushed me and John to the
hospital where we nursed the wounds for a period of one month. After spending one month in
hospital beds, we were finally discharged only to find the boys they were all jailed for various
