, Section 1: Evidence of my work for each activity
Activity 1
In my early adolescence, my greatest ambition was to open a shelter for all stray,
abandoned, and abused animals. To be able to provide to them a warm place to
sleep, food, and good health care for the animals. Animals have always held a special
place in my heart and being able to help them would mean the world to me.
Obviously, a lot of help and a large sum of money are required to realize this
ambition. Rather than becoming discouraged, I might begin small and begin
someplace.

I may begin the project by first finding a location where I can house the animals.
Fortunately for me, I have a friend who lives on a property with plenty of open space.
My friend is similarly passionate about animals, and we've discussed starting a
shelter several times, so the location would not be an issue. Once the venue is set, I'll
need to get the assistance of someone with a van to assist me in collecting stray
animals. We discover a lot of stray animals walking the streets in my neighbourhood.
I'll also make signs and leaflets to distribute in my community and neighbouring
communities, encouraging people to contact me if they come across any stray,
abandoned, or abused animals.

The project will entail gathering these animals, transporting them to the shelter, and
then simply feeding, housing, loving, and caring for them because they have no one
else to care for them. I will then need to find an animal doctor or someone with
experience treating injured or sick animals who would be willing to assist on-site with
the animals. Obviously, this will not be easy, and if I am unable to find someone, I will
have to take the animals to the vet myself, which will be quite expensive. Because I
am employed, I have money saved up to begin the project, such as purchasing food,
blankets, and medical supplies for the animals. However, I will not have enough
money to continue paying for everything. I could also set up a channel where people
could donate money or bring in any old toys, blankets, or food for the animals.

Unfortunately, time is one of the most critical factors. Working full-time currently
leaves me with less time which I currently use for my UNISA studies. Starting a new
project will take time to organize all that is required as well as to enlist the assistance
of others. I could recruit school-aged youngsters to volunteer at the shelter on
weekends, which would be extremely beneficial for the shelter as well as the
youngsters.
