Exam (elaborations) ENG 105 Topic 2 DQ 1 ENG 105 Topic 2 DQ 1 In 150-200 words, please analyze the document’s purpose and audience. Who, for example, is the CDC's audience? What are the CDC's beliefs about ADHD, and how does the CDC's Web page relate itself to those beliefs? Why would the federal government post a Web page about ADHD? What role does the general public expect the government to play regarding disorders such as ADHD? During the week, go back and read some of your classmates' posts. Do you agree with their views? The purpose of the CDC website is to inform. Its intentions are to educate the public on a wide array of healthy promotions and preventions. The audience for the webpage on ADHD targets parents, patients, caregivers, and those that work with children to engage them to research the topic and also advises them to seek out professional help if needed. The CDC’s mission of beliefs is to uphold the principle values of ethical health and in doing so the CDC recognizes ADHD as a valid condition and provides specific scientific data to support the claims that they make. The federal government uses the CDC webpage on ADHD as a tool to inform the public, most people in today’s digital age turn to the internet to look for answers rather than call on a professional. The public relies on the government to provide them with concrete information regarding health concerns because they are regarded as our leaders with good, moral intent (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention., 2017).
