An Essay about awareness on Covid 19 Vaccine

Content preview

Choose to be Safe

Numbers do not lie. People who have experienced the infection have expressed countless testimonies
that COVID-19 is real, highly contagious, deadly, and a traitor that compromises our immune system while
we stay laid back not withholding physical distancing and safety protocols. With
The 246,951,274 coronavirus cases and 5,004,855 death tolls recorded by the World Health
Organization as of November 2, 2021, are not a joke. Hence, if there are possible ways and means to help at
least flatten the curve, people should not think twice and take it.
What is good beyond the horrific results of this pandemic across the globe is the result of scientific
attempts to make a vaccine that would prevent people from the severe attack of COVID-19 together with its
various variant army. However, amid the grueling effort of the many scientists around the globe, many
malicious conspiracy theories ruin the purpose of vaccines, impending its massive implementation,
particularly in the Philippines. With the hype of corruption surrounding COVID-19 undying dilemma,
people began to doubt the vaccines’ very real intention. With this many people do not believe that these
vaccines can help them avoid the disease or lessen its effect. More so, many people even believed that it
causes death since there were also testimonies that arose in many places.
As wise citizens of this country, one should know how to weigh facts from fallacy, which is more
important and less significant. The following are some key things to know about the vaccines from the
Center of Disease Control and Prevention. This will provide us with valuable information and proven results
from the various experiments conducted across the globe.
COVID-19 immunizations train our immune systems to recognize and combat the COVID-19 virus.
It takes the body around two weeks after vaccination to develop immunity (protection) against the virus that
causes COVID-19. That means a person could still contract COVID-19 before or shortly after immunization
and become ill since the vaccine does not have enough time to develop protective antibodies. Two weeks
after receiving the second dosage of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, or two weeks
after receiving the single-dose Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, people are deemed fully
immunized.
COVID-19 vaccinations have been given to millions of people in the United States, and these
vaccines have undergone the most rigorous safety testing in the country's history. To ensure that COVID-19
vaccinations are safe, this monitoring incorporates the use of both established and innovative safety
monitoring technologies.
While the virus is looming invisibly around us, what can mere theories and hate posts on getting the
vaccine can do? Will it help lessen the number of covid victims?
As of October 31, WHO reported that 6,893,866,617 vaccines administered all over the world proved
to have contributed to flattening the curve which in turn partially opened the gates of many countries for
tourism and economic deals.
With this good information about the vaccine from CDC, will you still doubt getting your first dose?
Are you still willing to compromise the safety and welfare of yourself and your whole family? As the cliché
goes, “prevention is better than cure”, hence, while we can do something, participate and make ourselves
useful. Educate ourselves. Get information from reliable sources and always choose the better option.
Vaccines may not fully guarantee lifetime protection, yet it is after all the only safer option, plus it's free.
