The variable ‘SALES’ defines the number of sales made by a salesperson this week. The mean number of sales made by a salesperson this week is 42.340 with a standard deviation of 4.171. The following histogram shows the frequency distribution of the number of sales made by the salespersons this week as follows: The histogram approximately follows the bellshaped curve of a normal distribution, with slight right skewness (0.07) and low kurtosis (0.22). The minimum and the maximum number of sales made by a salesperson this week are 32 and 52 respectively. The median or middle value of the distribution of the number of sales made by a salesperson this week is given as 42, which implies that about 50% of the salespersons have made more than 42 sales this week. The first quartile is given as 39.250, which implies that about 75% of the salespersons have made more than 39.250 sales this week. The third quartile is given as 45.000, which implies that about 25% of the salespersons have made more than 45.000 sales this week. The variable ‘CALLS’ defines the number of calls made by a salesperson this week. The mean number of calls made by a salesperson this week is 162.09 with a standard deviation of 18.01. The histogram approximately follows the bellshaped curve of a normal distribution, with negligible skewness (0.04) and moderate kurtosis (0.73). The minimum and the maximum number of calls made by a salesperson this week are 124 and 201 respectively.
