Swing Terminology

● Hits - short harmonised single notes by brass/sax during during solos
● Swing (rhythm) - unequal quaver notes (e.g long short) that are accented (triplets)
● Walking bass - bassline, straight quarter, usually arpeggio or scale patterns to outline
the chord progression
