Why communicate with a machine in natural language?

 Natural language is the most natural and inclusive interface for human interaction
o Children learn language and use this to communicate with others
 It is a very efficient way of interacting with one another
 It is obvious to have machines learn language
 Robots (so far) are not very flexible
o By adding NLP, you add flexibility
 Robots could then operate autonomously
 Get much more clarity, machines that can explain why they do something

Difference between machine learning and deep learning:




Deep learning is originated from research on the brain (how input stimuli are processed)

With deep learning you have different layers, accordingly you have different regions of the brain in
which the stimuli passes through
