Het vierfasenmodel voor EIBO (Engels in het basisonderwijs)




Fase 3 oefenfase (Reproduction)
• Oefenen van nieuwe stof in gesloten oefeningen (klein, weinig zelf
bedenken)
• Zinvolle context
• Leerkracht weet precies wat leerling gaat zeggen
• Mondelinge en schriftelijke oefeningen (schriftelijk vanaf groep 4/5)
• Oefeningen lopen op in moeilijkheidsgraad, van receptief naar productief
• Verwerking via vaste en variabele noties en varianten naar functies
(taalfunctie = wat je gaat zeggen, taalnotie = hoe je het zegt)

Oefenen door middel van:
• Rollenkaarten (tekst staat vast)
• Dialoog uit het hoofd leren
• Patterndrills (automatiseren)
• Woorden invullen
• Zinnen aanvullen/in de juiste volgorde zetten)
• Spellen met vaste dialoog (Wie is het, Kwartet, Bingo)
• Liedjes zingen en oefenen
• Variatie door voorkennis
In de oefenfase ga je van gesloten naar half open naar zelfstandig gesprek
(makkelijk  moeilijk). Je kunt ook oefenen met behulp van Patterndrills. Dat is
het herhalen van audiofragmenten.
