One thing I found really interesting about the theoretical material (and why)
The theoretical lessons have made me realise that there is so much more to
the word “community”. There are so many different communities across the
world, and most have common or similar interests and beliefs. I have gained
knowledge that will assist me in the future as I dive into the world of
psychology, to understand people and their backgrounds, communities they
come from and live in.
One thing about the theoretical material that stood out to me was the way
communities perceive tangibility. In today’s life people have made tangible
things the centre of their worlds, when actually the intangible are more
important. Without love, kindness and hope we are nothing.
I have mislead myself by having preconceived ideas about communities and
coming across stereotypical due to not have sufficient information or
knowledge about these communities. These lenses have opened my mind and
