The Underground Railroad was a way by which accurately tens of thousands of slaves were ready to escape their oppressors and make their way north to free states and an opportunity for freedom. it had been so secretive that even to talk of it meant discovery and terrible punishment. But worse that that if it had been discovered by those that would stop slaves from finding their answer , it might have meant the top of hope for thousands of African Americans who were enduring the injustice of slavery.
