Mendix Certification: Four-Level Developer Credential Pathway, Exam Requirements, and Costs
This document provides a comprehensive guide to the Mendix Certification Program, a four-level credentialing system administered by Mendix Academy that validates low-code development skills. It details the progression from the free, foundational Rapid Developer certification—which requires no prerequisites and proves basic platform understanding—through the Intermediate and Advanced Developer levels, each requiring the prior certificate and costing $158 USD (€148), up to the Expert Developer credential, which involves a motivation letter and individual interview priced at $630 USD . The guide covers exam formats, including online proctored multiple-choice testing from the Intermediate level onward, and outlines the preparation pathways available through free Mendix Academy self-study learning paths or instructor-led training partners . It also addresses registration procedures, purchasing exam seats, organizational bulk ordering, and the terms and conditions governing exam conduct, cheating prohibitions, and certification revocation .
