Clothes Do/Do Not Make the Man/Women
Clothes do not make the man/women
We have always been told that its What’s inside the count, and “the clothes don’t
make the man/women”. I totally agree with this statement. Just as money does
not bring happiness clothes do not make the man or so it is What they say…. but
my opinion is that clothes don’t make the man/women. Nothing tells you about,
or makes a greatest first impression, then how one is dressed. It’s quite
significant, really. We can sum up a person’s entire character even if we don’t
know that just by the way they are dressed. But I don’t believe clothes make the
man/women. Onn’s style, or styles, of dress allows other to get a hint of their
character. One could have several styles of hoe they dress.
Someone could wear an expensive suit to work in the morning, and go home in
the evening and throw on cheaper ragged, oversized potato sack. Does that mean
they are serious business person, or a ‘lose’ because they dress that way? A
person’s many styles of dress mean they have many characteristics. Clothes don’t
make the man/women, but they can lead us guessing about their character.
Honey Ward Beecher was a 19th century preaches and social reformer, his quotes
states that clothes do not make the man/women but when the man is made
clothes improve his appearance. The sad reality of our world today is clothes do
make the man and what you wear has a major impacted on how you are
portrayed. I do not believe in this; I do not judge someone by what they are
