What is philosophy of science?
Philosophy of science asks questions about science itself: What
makes something scientific? How does scientific reasoning
work? What counts as evidence? What makes an explanation
good? What are laws and causes?

What is the basic difference between deduction and induction?
Deduction gives a conclusion that must be true if the premises
are true. Induction uses observed evidence to reach a
conclusion that is supported but could still be false.
What is validity vs. soundness?
A valid argument has the right logical structure: if its premises
were true, its conclusion would have to be true. A sound
argument is valid and actually has true premises.
