:
- Improved condition indicated a decrease in sodium levels and a
decrease in serum osmolarity
HYPERGLYCEMIA
- Polyuria
- Polyphagia (excessive hunger )
- Polydipsia
Hypoglycemia
- Treatment if awake and alert: Give OJ , If after 15 mins blood glucose is
shallow give additional OJ
- Diaphoresis: “ cold and clammy”, headache
Cushing Syndrome
- Long-term steroids like prednisone cannot be stopped abruptly even in a
patient with this syndrome
