MSN 612 Module 2
Successful mannerisms and personal contributing factors of the advanced practice
registered nurse (APRN) will help to promote a trusting and welcoming practice. Having core
values, attitudes, knowledge base, and skillsets will determine the success of the career of the
APRN. Being aware of these facets are important to determine the stance of the practitioner and
the course that the profession is directed towards.
For the focused APRN, having a distinct and intricate system of values plays a leading
role in the recognition of who the APRN is and what they are projecting to their patients and
their caregivers. Having a definite set of values will offer a foundation for how the APRN will
act and execute professionally (Hampton et al., 2021). Personally, values of reliance,
transparency, proactive guidance, and integrity are important to my success as an APRN. These
are aspects that I would be looking for if medical attention was needed. The ability to trust and
rely on the person who has my health in their hands is priceless and I hope to deliver these
aspects as well.
The attitude of the APRN can be a visible component to their patients, caregivers, and
coworkers. Their outlooks can be reflected via mannerisms, referral methods, communication,
confidence levels, and diligence toward their patients. The attitude type that is chosen for my
professional best is to practice due diligence with a patient-centered care outlook accompanied
by unequivocal reverence for the patient’s wellbeing. This mindset runs unilateral with the
nursing essential of Person-Centered Care. To be able to fully recognize each patient as a unique
individual who is well-deserving of separate and holistic care and to prioritize and focus on their
needs is to truly put them in a central location (American Association of Colleges of Nursing,
2021).

The necessary knowledge and skills can be developed through adequate edification and
application of such learned modules. Through practice and application of the knowledge that is
delivered through schooling, the APRN will become familiarized with the necessary skillsets to
put their knowledge to the test. It is imperative for the APRN to be continuously thirsting for
more knowledge in order to broaden their comprehensions and skillsets which in turn leads to
more successful patient-care outcomes. During clinicals for the APRN student, it is imperative to
get involved, ask pertinent questions, and inquire to participate.
Peer relationships can be molded and established through societal collaborations with
those who we are surrounded by and who are also on comparable psychological developing
grounds. As hopeful APRNs, it is important to surround ourselves with those who are
likeminded. Forming meaningful relationships with those who have a common goal is imperative
as a means of support and encouragement. Continuing to have fulfilled relationships with those
who play a vital role in our lives is all fine and well if new relationships are formed with those
who are able to accommodate the provisions of our end goals. Branching out and forming
meaningful affiliations will only help to keep attentions centered and inspire success (Wang &
Hu, 2021).
When discussing the MSN Essentials, the topic of Personal, Professional, and Leadership
Development speaks volumes on this assignment topic. When the aspiring APRN can center their
focus around polishing up their proficiencies centered around individual, professional, and
leadership capabilities, great growth can occur. This put the prospective patients at a lesser risk
of mishap and the APRN at a greater risk of success. Through a noteworthy display of values,
attitudes, knowledge, and skills, the APRN with strengthen their careers through reliability and
