1. Forma y significado
Uso Estructura Ejemplo Traducción

Afirmativa Subject + verb + The patrol checks the area every La patrulla revisa la zona cada
object/complements night. noche.

Negativa Subject + auxiliary + not The patrol does not check this road. La patrulla no revisa esta
+ base verb carretera.

Interrogativa Auxiliary + subject + Does the patrol check this road? ¿Revisa la patrulla esta
base verb...? carretera?

1. Punto esencial
Do/does/did son auxiliares de presente y pasado simple.
verbo principal vuelve a su forma base: Does she work?, no Does she works?; Did he go?, no Did he
went?.

2. Punto esencial
Be no necesita do: se invierte con el sujeto (Is she ready?) y recibe directamente not (She is not ready).
En los tiempos continuos actúa como auxiliar.

3. Punto esencial
Have forma los tiempos perfectos: They have arrived.
suele emplear do: Do you have a car?.

2. Ejemplos comentados
Ejemplo Traducción Por qué

The witness is nervous. El testigo está nervioso. Be se coloca antes del atributo.

Why did the driver leave? ¿Por qué se marchó el conductor? Tras did aparece leave, no left.

She has not finished the report. No ha terminado el informe. Has es auxiliar y finished, participio.

3. Práctica específica
1. Ordena: every / studies / Marta / evening.

2. Corrige: Does he works here?

3. Pasa a negativa: They found the document.

4. Pregunta por el lugar: The unit meets at the station.
