What this archive is
This archive brings together 252 BIS questions from 2020 to 2026. It isn't a set of complete papers.
Some years are well represented, while only a few usable questions remain from others.
A missing section means it isn't available here. It doesn't mean the topic couldn't be tested. The
current course material still defines the full scope of the exam.
Coverage by year
Year Theory MCQs Theory open Python MCQs Python open Total
2020 0 3 0 0 3
2021 0 0 0 0 0
2022 0 0 0 2 2
2023 66 3 32 1 102
2024 58 3 42 3 106
2025 0 0 15 0 15
2026 19 4 0 1 24
Total 143 13 89 7 252
The unevenness matters. There isn't any usable 2021 material here, 2025 only contains Python MCQs,
and 2026 doesn't contain a complete Python MCQ section.

, How the marks work
Two halves, both important
Theory and practical Python each account for 50% of the written exam. Each component is marked
out of 10, and both have to be attempted. The practical half is Python.
The component floor
- If theory and practical are both at least 3.5 out of 10, the final mark is the sum of the two
components.
- If either component is below 3.5 out of 10, the final mark is twice the lower component.
Examples
Theory Practical Calculation Result
4/10 6/10 4+6 10/20
3.5/10 6.5/10 3.5 + 6.5 10/20
3/10 7/10 2x3 6/20
9/10 3/10 2x3 6/20
3.4/10 10/10 2 x 3.4 6.8/20
The first goal is simple: keep both halves at or above 3.5. A very strong result in one half can't
compensate for a collapsed result in the other.
The exact number of questions, the points attached to each task and the MCQ marking rule can
vary. The instructions on the paper always take priority.
